Over seven score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation which was limited in scope because then as sadly too commonly now, his wife & all the women of every hue & youth, even those then lost on the battlefield, of that time did not reallize their equall importance with older men & Power for Good . This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Minority slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity. But even then, women, even that not at all fully successful and quickly unreconstructioned Emancipator’s Wife, was herself not at all emancipated, did not have the vote and could not hold reparative & equall office, because Common Sense had been ignored, and her work and that of women of all hues, & the promise of Youth, also was also not counted, in this nation, in every nation. As a result, a great opportunity was again lost, and the national region was plunged into Civil War just as our World Human Family, our ought to be Beloved Community now, is now making war upon itself in so many places and a War on Nature, even on our own bodies ignoring Nature, that clearly threatens Planetary Extinction of Humanity and All Life on This Planet.

When the architects of our American republic wrote the words of the Constitution (the Preamble said We, the people, but the Devil was in the Details of hypocrisy, that forgot the ladies, left slavery and native genocide in, and Common Sense Out) and the Declaration of Independence, (which Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Frederick Douglass made more complete in 1848’s Declaration at Seneca Falls) they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir.
